What is Opana?
Opana is an analgesic narcotic with an addiction liability similar to that of morphine. It is apparent within 15 minutes and remains in effect for more than five hours.
Opana is approximately eight times more potent on a milligram basis than morphine, and often called “drugstore heroin” on the streets.
What are the effects of Opana?
Opana can create effects that are very similar to morphine. Although the euphoria has been reported as closer to codeine. Although it is rare, some users can experience nausea and vomiting.
Opana is considered to have moderately high dependency level as addiction or dependence can occur when the drug is used for longer than a few weeks or at high doses.
Tolerance can develop in individuals who need to take more of the drug to feel the same effect. The addiction, if developed can be both physical and psychological.
What is Opana addiction and abuse?
The abuse of Opana stems from the fact it delivers a highly euphoric, intravenous rush that is very similar to the rush one experiences with heroin.
As Opana is one of the most prescribed opioids to treat the relief of pain for the terminally ill due to its high potency, it also presents an attractive rush for those seeking a fix.
What are the side effects of Opana?
The side effects of Opana include: flu-like symptoms, anorexia, constipation, pain at the injection site, hallucinations, itching or skin rash and sleepiness.

The withdrawal symptoms of Opana include: flu-like symptoms, anxiety, hallucinations, headaches, insomnia, mood swings and pain.
