Kadian Withdrawal and Kadian Detox
In this Special Report, Siobhan Morse, the executive director of The National Institute for Holistic Addiction Studies discusses Kadian Withdrawal and Detox.
What is Kadian?
Kadian belongs to a class of drugs called opioid pain relievers. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic.
Kadian is used to treat moderate to severe pain. Extended release Kadian capsules are used when around-the-clock pain relief is needed.
What are the effects of Kadian?
As Kadian is a narcotic, over time the body becomes accustomed to the effects of the medication. If Kadian is stopped too quickly, withdrawal symptoms may occur.
These symptoms can occur with chronic, legitimate use of the drug as well as with Kadian abuse.
Withdrawal is a normal, predictable and physical response to stopping the medication, although it is certainly more likely to occur in cases of Kadian addiction.
Withdrawal from Kadian can be extremely unpleasant. It can be so uncomfortable that people continue taking Kadian in order to relieve or avoid the withdrawal symptoms.
What are the withdrawal symptoms of Kadian?
The withdrawal symptoms of Kadian include: anxiety, kicking movements, severe backache, muscle spasms, increased breathing and heart rate, increased blood pressure, insomnia, and flu-like symptoms.
What is Kadian detox?
When Kadian use is stopped abruptly, these withdrawal symptoms can be severe.
Persons who are addicted to Kadian usually enter a substance medical detox in which the withdrawal effects and symptoms can be minimized at a safe and steady pace under the supervision of a medical doctor.
This kind of medical drug detox program has been proven safer, faster, and more reliably comfortable than other systems.
